Using attosecond time-resolved Attosecond technology is a radical departure from all the optical (and collision) technology that preceded it. It merges optical and collision physics. The technology opens important problems in each area of science for study by previously unavailable methods. Underlying attosecond technology is a strong laser field.

The central interest of our research is the characterization of the electronic structure … Attosecond science: the mission One of the great challenges for attosecond scientists is to step up photon energy from the current range of 30 to 130 eV to several hundred electron volts and – in the longer term – to the kilo-electronvolt range. Anyone interested in Attosecond science is welcome to join! The Lund Attoscience Symposium 2021 will offer monthly two-hour sessions on Wednesdays from 16.00 to 18.00. Each session focuses on one aspect of attosecond science and consists of one keynote lecture in addition to three progress reports from early career researchers. Joint Attosecond Science Laboratory. The Joint Attosecond Science Laboratory is a partnership between the National Research Council of Canada and the University of Ottawa. It has state-of-the-art laboratories at NRC as well as the Advanced Research Complex at the University of Ottawa.

The laser fields will be strong enough and well-enough controlled to govern The main topics of the course are the following: (i) attosecond science and technology, devoted to the generation and application of attosecond pulses to the investigation of electronic dynamics in atoms, molecules, nanostructures and condensed phases; (ii) fundamentals, methods and applications of free electron lasers in atomic and molecular science.

In molecular photoionization, these barriers prevent the electron from escaping instantaneously, so that nuclei may move and modify the potential, thereby affecting the ionization process. By using an attosecond two-color interferometric approach in combination with high spectral The new millennium witnessed two revolutionary breakthroughs in ultrafast x-ray science. In 2001, two independent groups reported the formation of attosecond pulses of XUV radiation.

We review the first ten years of attosecond science with a selection of recent highlights and trends and give an outlook on future directions (invited review article below). After introducing the main spectroscopic tools, we will give recent examples of … Regarding the connection of Quantum optics with Attosecond Science, a theoretical quantum optical description of strong-field laser-atom interaction" (Scientific Reports 6, 32821 (2016)) has been developed, followed up by the experimental development of a "Quantum optical XUV spectrometer" (Nature Comm. 8, 15170 (2017)).
